What does 2021 look like for me as a newborn photographer in Kent?

Traditionally, I like to look back and reflect on the last 12 months, before I begin to set my goals for the year ahead. This time last year, I had it all planned out. I was excited and bursting with ideas, then, bam, lockdown!  Little did I know at the time that my newborn photography business would be closed for more months than it would be open!

Looking back, it was a year of uncertainty, fear but most of all appreciation.

Like many people, I got to know my neighbours better, appreciate and explore the beautiful woodland where I live and spend more time with my children. I also, took the opportunity to work behind the scenes on my business. Update my website, expand my knowledge with online training and refresh my newborn safety course.

What is planned for 2021?

I am so excited for when I can reopen. I don’t want to dwell on what has happened, that is in the past. I want to look forward and celebrate!

2020 Lockdown babies

I want to celebrate all the beautiful babies born in 2020 by creating some fun, unique 1st birthday photoshoots. I  will be adding some more birthday set ups to my collection to make these milestones really special for our 2020 babies. These can be personalised, so please get in touch to discuss your ideas. Baby due in 2021?

Let’s celebrate all the babies due in 2021. These babies are the sunshine, to come out of what has been a pretty gloomy year. I have invested in lots of new props and will be producing style guides to make your newborn sessions personal to your family. I am taking bookings for March onward so if you are due this year, take a look at my newborn sessions.

Celebrate your family

When we came out of the first lockdown, I noticed a rise in people wanting family photos, especially with the grandparents in. These photos are so important to have, to hand down through generations. Even if you just capture these on your phone yourself, please, please, put this on your to do list!

Are you spending more time at home? Are you redecorating or extending? Don’t forget to factor in your family photos when designing your space. Photos of your family and children, proudly displayed on your wall is the perfect way to surround yourself with happiness and joy. For more information on my family session, click here.
